Learn some of these names for God and use them when communing with Him in prayer. It doesn't change Him, but it does change us. It builds faith when you are sick and you call Him "healer". It helps you, and others with you, when you ask "The Prince of Peace" to come to a hospital room where someone is dying. It keeps God relevant to our lives. He's not just "God" up in heaven somewhere waiting on us to "check in" with Him. By learning some of the names the He used to communicate who He is through scripture it can help us relate to Him in our everyday activities.
